Think you can size up a roof on sight? This fall, put your estimating skills to the test with the RoofScope How Big Is This Roof? Challenge.

Review the roof photo, make your best guess in roofing squares, and enter for a chance to win $500 in RoofScope Cash and a customized gift box. The challenge is open through January 1, and the winner will be announced on January 27th.

Review the roof image, estimate the total roofing squares, and submit your guess through the entry form.

Winner Selection

Closest guess wins. If there's a tie, the earliest submission is selected. The winner will be announced on January 27th.

Study the structure closely. Look at the layout, slope changes, and footprint. Every section contributes to the total roofing squares.

What Is a Roofing Square?

A roofing square is a standard roofing measurement equal to 100 square feet of roof area, visualized as a 10-by-10-foot section. For example, a 2,000-square-foot roof equals 20 roofing squares. Submit your guess using roofing squares only.

How the Challenge Works

  1. Examine the roof image above.
  2. Estimate the total number of roofing squares.
  3. Submit your guess using the form link.

Once all entries are submitted, we will calculate the official square count and determine the winner.

What You Can Win
